The city sits at the northern end of the region, about 58 km in a straight line from Colmar. So a Strasbourg day spends more of its time on the road than a Colmar one, and the operators plan around that.
You choose between three lengths. A half day of four hours reaches the northern wine towns, around Obernai, with two tastings. A full day of eight hours reaches Ribeauvillé and Riquewihr, with three. The long village days run ten and a half hours and spend most of them walking Ribeauvillé, Riquewihr, Kaysersberg and Eguisheim rather than tasting.
